Description
Darwin has got cold moded wooden hull reinforced with fiber clothing with Epoxy resin. It is one the most durable method of building the wooden hull that requires basically no maintenance in the life of the yacht. Her hull has got 30mm , first layer of Iroko strip plank plus 3 layers of 4mm Khaya ( Acajou) veneers laminated in different angles to give robust hull form. Frames are laminated Iroko. Massive laminated Iroko stem-keel-skeg , all one piece of sculpture. On top of all this wooden planks and veneers, exteriors are covered with e-glass woven cloth epoxy sheathed.
