OVERVIEW
VOLTERRA'S pedigree is top shelf with Palmer Johnson construction, Alden design, Frers naval architecture and John Munford interior.
VOLTERRA was one of the earlier Spirit of Tradition yachts and she does all things well: family cruising or Bucket-style club racing. She has circumnavigated with a family and she has raced trans-Atlantic with motivated crew.
ARRANGEMENT
VOLTERRA features three comfortable staterooms with separate crew quarters.
Aft of the companionway to port and starboard are matching guest cabins with side-by-side single berths, suitable for use offshore, and en-suite head compartments. The family style galley is to port in the main saloon. Dining, relaxing and entertaining were all considerations in the design. Semi-circular seating to port faces a movie screen mounted to starboard. Settee berths convert to sea berths as needed with a privacy curtain to starboard.
Owner's quarters are forward of the main saloon and gracious with a convertible double/single berth to port and a single berth to starboard. Mattresses are Select-comfort and bed linens (included) are 1000 thread-count cotton. Storage is abundant, head and shower is ensuite.
Crew quarters with two berths, toilet and sink can be accessed via the deck. A watertight door forward in the owner's head would allow access in uncomfortable conditions.
Interior fit and finish is the epitome of Yacht Style with North American cherry, gloss varnish on the trim and matte on flat surfaces. Cabin sole is 3/4" solid teak with holly seams. Headliner is white painted T&G. Cabinetry is raised panel style. Switch panels, reading lights and door latches are brass. All lighting is LED's in appropriate warm colors. Upholstery is blue Ultrasuede. The overall effect is inviting and suitably classic.
